Production & Bottling
A. The Cold Extraction Method
The Art of Cold Pressing - From the Olive to the Olive Oil
The production of our premium extra virgin olive oil is carried out using the cold pressing method, which is the most natural and purest process for extracting olive oil. Unlike other methods, cold pressing preserves all the nutrients and aromas of the olive without the need for high temperatures or chemical substances. This process takes place at temperatures below 27°C, ensuring that the beneficial antioxidants and vitamins in the olive oil remain intact. This guarantees the final consumer a high-quality product with exceptional taste, freshness, and nutritional value. Cold pressing ensures that the olive oil retains its natural characteristics, such as its intense green color, distinctive aroma, and unique flavor. It is rich in fatty acids, mainly oleic acid (omega-9), linolenic acid (omega-3), and linoleic acid (omega-6), as well as antioxidants such as vitamin E, vitamin C, carotenoids, phenols, and polyphenols.
B. Bottling and Packaging
Quality in Bottling - Innovative Packaging for Perfect Protection
The bottling of our olive oil is done with the utmost care and in modern, specialized facilities. Each bottle is designed to ensure the absolute protection of the olive oil from external factors such as light and air that may affect its quality. We use bottles and containers that are suitable for long-term preservation of the product and that keep the freshness and characteristics of the olive oil for a longer period. In addition to functionality, we place special emphasis on the aesthetics of our packaging, offering our customers products that impress not only for their quality but also for their appearance, ideal for distribution in international markets.
C. Certifications and Traceability
Quality Certifications & Traceability – Ensuring Authenticity
At Culterra Olive Oil, quality is our top priority. Therefore, our products are certified according to international quality standards, such as ISO 22000, IFS & BRC for food safety, and the International DIO Certification System for our organic olive oil. This allows us to offer our customers a product that meets the strictest quality and safety specifications. Furthermore, the traceability of our products is extremely important to us. From the moment the olive is harvested from the olive tree to the final bottling and distribution, every bottle of olive oil can be fully traced. This process allows us to guarantee the authenticity and quality of the product and to ensure the final consumer the transparency they need to trust their choice. With traceability, we can monitor every step of the production process, ensuring that the olive oil remains true to its quality and the term “authentic”.
